What is ME Ecològic?
This stands for the 100% natural local production of meat. Animals are born on the ecological farms in Majorca and are fed by their mother’s milk from young until they are fully-grown, wherefrom they go directly to graze on the ecological farming fields in Majorca. Farmers are responsible for guaranteeing the animals’ food is free from pesticides and chemical or transgenic elements. The treatment and quality of life these animals receive whilst growing, alongside the type of food they eat, creates a unique flavour.
At Garden Hotels, supporting the producers of lamb meat grown in Majorca, is our way of embracing agricultural life that has shaped the appearance and character of the island. We promote the daily efforts that farmers make on their farms to preserve the artisanal and sustainable farming techniques, always looking to provide a balance with the present-day needs of society and progress.
